FACILITIES AT THE OPD
Food plays the most important role in Ayurvedic medicine and treatment.
The basic principle of Ayurveda is balancing out the Doshas or Humors which are
either in excess or shortage, in the body. This equilibrium is achieved mainly through
food. In practice, depending on which Dosha is aggravated, a diet predominant in
that particular Dosha is prescribed.
Henceforth, a dietary schedule is devised to suit each patient's needs, or more
specifically, to each patient's aggravated Doshas.
Ayurveda advocates a diet based on pure, nutrient-rich vegetables, fruits, grains,
nuts, dairy, legumes and oils.
In addition, seasonal dietary regimens to address the demands of different seasons
and diet for Ritucharya are also taken care of.
